TownMe was a local startup launched by a group of ex-Googlers in 2009, aimed at creating a hyper-local platform where users could share and access detailed information about neighborhoods. The service aggregated data from multiple sources, including user-generated content, and was meant to serve people looking for detailed, practical information that went beyond simple reviews.
